From Penny Birdsong (Bonnie's Aunt)
I will always remember her smile. It was big and beautiful. I always saw her carefree and happy.
Here is Bonnie riding shotgun as her daughter (Skyler) is driving the golf cart in Cape Chatles Virginia

Among my favorite memories are our family trips to Virginia. Linda, Heather, Bonnie, our Cocker Spaniel "B2", and myself stayed at.my parents house in Chuckatuck. Chuckatuck became our Base Camp from which we ventured out to historic sites including Jamestowne, Williamsburg, and Yorktown. Heather and Bonnie enjoyed the Jamestowne/Scotland Ferry ride to Jamestowne. The girls would ride near the bow where they were bombarded by seagulls seeking pieces of bread. After arriving at Jamestowne, we always took this historic car tour along the Blackpoint trail. At each pullout there was a display board that depicted the historic significance of that location. I would read and interpret the text in a deep authoritative voice starting with "As you can see .....", and Bonnie would say "Oh no, not the annoying voice", and we would laugh and laugh. My fondest memory of these historic adventures was visiting Yorktown. We would take the historic trail drive and always stopped at George Wasgington's Headquarter encampment. There is a spring there where we would drink the water and look for artifacts. It was the Nelson House in Yorktown where Heather and Bonnie earned their Junor Ranger Badges, a proud day for mom and dad.
Bonnie truly enjoyed history, especially Southern Florida and Eastern Virginia history. I will forever cherish these memories of Bonnie during these times.
