Justine “Bunky” Connor, age 96, of Melbourne, FL, passed away on January 24, 2024.

Justine was born on July 30, 1927, in Chicago, IL. She graduated from Mercy High School in 1945. Justine moved to Florida in the 60s and built a life for herself and her six children in Jacksonville. She worked and retired at Blue Cross Blue Shield as a data entry secretary, and she volunteered at the King Center and local hospital. Justine enjoyed taking her family to the beach and going on walks and bike rides while enjoying some fresh air in the sun. In her free time, Justine loved to craft creating elaborate beaded and gem stone trees as well as embroidery, ceramic, crochet, and watercolor works. She was a dedicated member of the Gem and Mineral Society, and she won many awards for her art pieces. For every holiday, her family would gather at her house and share in her special treats, like her famous cinnamon rolls and pumpkin logs. She was the backbone of our family and will be missed dearly.

Justine was a beloved mother to her six children Linda Goodman, Diane Connor, James “Jimmy” Connor, Jack Connor, Don Connor, and Janet Connor; a beloved grandmother to her six grand children, Rick Goodman, Linda Robinson, Toni Robinson, Stephanie Connor, Tabatha Connor, and Amanda Connor; and a beloved great grandmother to her two great grandchildren Jacob Robinson and Ryan Goodman.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Josephine Murray; her father, Richard Murray; her husband, James Connor; and her son, James “Jimmy” Connor.

Her memorial gathering will be held on February 7th at Beckman-Williamson Funeral Home (5400 Village Dr, Rockledge FL, 32955) at 10:00 am to 12:00 pm followed by a short ceremony at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery (5525 U.S. Highway 1, North Mims, FL 32754) at 1:30 pm.
