George will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 69 years, Mary. Cherished father to Antigone London (Marc) of Harwich, Massachusetts, Peter Wood (Lisa) of Baltimore, Maryland, Stacey Graham (Jim) of Savannah, Georgia, and Jamie Armezzani (Joe) of Germantown, Maryland. Adored grandfather of twelve and great-grandfather of nine. George was predeceased by his loving parents, Peter and Antigone Wood.

First, the Air Force and then a long career at Martin Marietta brought George and Mary across the United States, where they raised their family and made many lasting friendships.
