Diana Medlin

Obituary of Diana L. Medlin

Diana L. Medlin, 67, dear sister in Christ, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 6th, surrounded by her loving family.

She will be forever remembered by her devoted husband of 39 years, Kevin; her dearest son Austin (Holly); her cherished grandson Liam; her dear father-in-law Don (Darlene); her brothers-in-law Keith (Lori), Mike (Shawn), Jeff (Cindy); her stepbrother-in-law Chris; and her nieces, nephews, and many friends

She was preceded in death by her dear father Bill; her stepmother Lil; her brother Daryl; her mother-in-law Fran; and her niece Sydney.

Diana was born on George Air Force Base, Victorville, CA, and was raised in Southern California - a true "California Girl" at heart. She began her career in fashion early, modeling for designers and appearing on runways and in fashion publications. Pursuing her lifelong passion, she switched careers to become one of the finest cosmetologists/stylists, opening salons in California, Missouri and Florida.

Diana was an active member of Faith Viera, serving on Altar Guild and hosting Coffee Ministry every Sunday. An avid animal lover, she and Kevin visited Brevard Zoo each Monday, where they were annual members.

She so enjoyed her early retirement in Florida, working as part-time beautician/stylist at Alura Senior Home in Rockledge. She was a fervent reader and classic movie devotee. Ultimately, she found her most profound joy in family and friends, a joy she gave back in multitudes. Diana's shining light will be deeply missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Faith Viera Lutheran Church, 5550 Faith Drive, Rockledge, on October 2nd at 11:00 a.m.

Family will receive guests at a luncheon in the fellowship hall following the committal at the church's columbarium. In lieu of flowers, memorials are welcomed in her name to Faith Viera or Brevard Zoo.

Our special thanks to Holmes Regional Hospice staff and Pastor Troy Countryman.
