Buddy Lane and Johnnie-Faye meant a lot to me, I was their caregiver and they both became my friends and taught me a lot with their kindness, knowledge and love for people! It seems like they had the United Nations caring for them as we all were from different countries! ;)
I thank God for all the memories, the comedic way Buddy spoke, the love he had for his family, his past growing up in Tennessee and all the jokes about camping with his brother in law to vacationing in Alaska with Johnnie Faye
I know I will see you both again in heaven love you all forever. May God bless your family and keep them safe and comforted in Christ love , Glory to God Amen
I remember when Buddy and his family would come up to the mountains and we would all picnic with them. He, Jonnie Faye and Randy hosted us in Florida when we came down to visit Disney. It was my birthday and Jonnie Fayes so she had champagne and offered some to us kids too.

Buddy was our family celebrity. Years ago, we would meet at a restaurant on the University of Tennessee campus when Buddy came home. He always brought souvenirs from NASA for the kids and regaled us with magic and stories. We loved every minute of it. The picnics in the Smoky Mountains always turned into family reunions. He will be missed dearly by me. We kept in touch. He will be happy to be with Johnnie Faye again. Love, Joy (Joyce Rader) Northern
