Doris Nutt

Obituary of Doris Louise Tienken Nutt

Doris Louise Tienken Nutt, a remarkable woman whose journey spanned a full century, passed away on August 10, 2023 in Melbourne, FL.  She was born on January 5, 1923, in Trenton, NJ, to her loving parents, William and Helen Logan Tienken.

Doris, also known as "GG" to her family, was an active member of Faith Viera Lutheran church, where her strong faith provided her with comfort and purpose.  She was known for her zest for life, her love for her cats and dogs, and her enthusiasm for embarking on cruise vacations with her dear loved ones.   Born and raised in Trenton, NJ and Ocean Grove, NJ, she found her heart drawn to the sunny shores of Florida in the 1970s, where she spent the latter part of her life.  When asked about the secret to her remarkable longevity, Doris attributed it to her unwavering faith and the love of her family.

Doris’ legacy lives on through her surviving family members, including her son and daughter-in-law, William T and Carol Deneute, her son-in-law, Bert Oliff, her five grandchildren: Kim Oaks, Scott Oliff and his wife Jaime, Shelley Oliff-Crocker and her husband Bobby, William C Deneute and his wife Jennifer, and Stacey Rosati, as well as her six great-grandchildren and thirteen great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her cherished husband, Charles Budd Nutt, her beloved daughter, Leslie Allyson Oliff, and her dear sister, Althea Tienken.

A Lutheran Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 26th at 11am at Faith Viera Church, located at 5550 Faith Dr. in Rockledge. Following the service, a Celebration of Life will take place at 12:30pm at Rockledge Country Club, 1591 S. Fiske Blvd in Rockledge.
