Obituary of Mary Adrian Kerns Christy

Mary Adrian Kerns Christy 91 Cape Canaveral, Florida, passed away on the early morning of July 21, 2023. 

Mary was born on May 19, 1932 to the parents of William and Irene Kerns in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After graduation from St. Mary’s of the Mount High School in 1944, she joined the WAC and was stationed in Germany. 

In 1956, Mary met John Joseph Christy and married on April 12, 1957, in Laguna Beach California.  They went on to have five children, Kimberly Christy-Markley, Jacqueline Christy-Moquin, Angela Christy-Holzkamp, Rosemary Christy, Jock Christy, and lived most of their lives in Meadville, Pennsylvania. 

After John Christy retired from teaching the two resided in Cape Canaveral, Florida for their later years. 

Mary was predeceased by John Christy, Jock Christy, Rosemary Christy, Barbara Kerns-Francis, and Bernard Kerns. She is survived by Kimberly Markley, Jacqueline Moquin, and Angela Christy-Holzkamp.  Grand children Justin Sands, Christy Plummer, Reese Holzkamp, and Rielle Holzkamp. 

Serviced will be held Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. The service will be held at the Church Of Our Saviors 5301 N. Atlantic Ave. Cocoa Beach,  Florida 32931.
