Obituary of Eileen Tiedemann

Eileen Tiedemann passed away peacefully on Feb. 11, 2023. Eileen was a loving and kind mother of four children. She grew up in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, New York, New York with her three sisters, Anne, Mary, Agnes, and her two brothers, Henry and Martin. She worked as a secretary in New York. She met her husband, Tom Tiedeman, at a restaurant in Manhattan called Sherry’s 1890 in 1964. She moved to Merritt Island, Florida in 1965 after her marriage. She spent her remaining years after her departure from Brooklyn in Merritt Island, Florida. Her loving marriage lasted until her husband, Tom Tiedemann, passed away on May 17, 2022.  

She raised and cared for four children: Timothy, Kerry, Thomas, and Michael. Timothy died in 2011. She worked various jobs in the service sector, from restaurants to retail stores. She worked as a sales associate at Walmart for 15 years while taking care of her children. She also enjoyed spreading her love, attention, and positive energy to her six grandchildren. Eileen dedicated her life to her family and the spiritual fellowship at Our Saviour’s Catholic Church in Cocoa Beach.

The funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on March 10, 2023 at Our Saviour’s Catholic Church at 5301 N Atlantic Ave, Cocoa Beach, Fl. 32931. Refreshments will be available after the mass. The burial service is at 1:30 pm on March 10 at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery. The address for Cape Canaveral National Cemetery is 5525 US-1, Mims, Fl 32754. It takes approximately 50 minutes to get there from the church. People who want to attend the burial service should depart the church property at 12:30 pm to make it on time.
