Obituary of Howard "Tom" Hansen Jr

Howard “Tom” Hansen Jr., 72, passed away November 4, 2022. He was the son of the late Howard and Winnie Hansen. Married to his forever loving wife, Charlotte Hansen, for 37 years, they were blessed with many wonderful years together not only exploring in their travels, but also enjoying the home scene with family and friends. Tom graduated from University of Florida (Go Gators!) in Civil Engineering and worked on many projects in his professional career. His talent for music was exceptional. He played multiple instruments including trumpet, guitar, and keyboards and provided music for the enjoyment of all at dances. He loved to hike and see the sights, including hiking to the top of Yosemite’s famous Half Dome at least three times. Camping, fishing, and swimming were favorite pastimes as well as enjoying nature’s wildlife. Don’t forget football! He embraced life with enthusiasm and energy and his wit will be missed by both family and friends. Tom is survived by his wife, Charlotte Hansen, sister Sandra Brown, sister–in–law Mary Hackett (Jack), nieces Debra Roman, Jackie Brown, Jordan Wild and nephew Jack Hackett III (Caroline) as well as other loving relatives. He will be forever loved and missed. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2022. Viewing will be 10am-12pm at Beckman-Williamson Funeral Home in Cocoa Beach with graveside services to follow at Florida Memorial Gardens at 1 pm. All are invited to attend.
