Obituary of Bonnie June Laur

Bonnie J. Laur, 91, retired Real Estate Broker, passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2022 in Merritt Island, FL. She leaves a significant other, David Lothamer; children, Stewart Laur, Curtis Barry Laur and Morgan Laur Reinman; grandchildren, James Barry, Anastasia, Abby, and Tori; and her loving cat, Smokey. Bonnie enjoyed working with people and for many years had her own real estate office in Cocoa Beach, Brokers II. She also served her community by being appointed as the public member by the Governor to the 18th Judicial Circuit’s Judicial Nominating Commission and Bar Grievance Committee. Later in her life, she and husband Barry owned and managed The Coquina Lounge in Rockledge. She was a great mom, friend and caretaker to her husband and Aunt before they passed away. She exceled in golf, bowling, and cooking – best Chocolate Cake possible. She was smart, organized, funny and beautiful and strong-willed. For those who knew her she was a force of nature, so it is fitting that she passed away during a hurricane. She will be truly missed. A Celebration of Bonnie’s Life will be held at The Crowne Plaza in Melbourne from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 3, 2022.
