Obituary of Phanry Kheav Hay

Name: Phanry Kheav Hay Home: Viera, FL Death Date: May 27, 2022 Birth Date: December 29, 1940 Age: 81 Birthplace: Kompong Cham, Cambodia On May 27, 2022, surrounded by her beloved family at William Childs Hospice House, Phanry passed away peacefully. Phanry has joined her beloved husband Born Hay of 50 years in heaven. Predeceased by her father and mother, Yeav Kheav and Phat Kuong; and brother, Hengsrun Chea. Survived by her devoted three loving children, Chinara (Kanitha), Dar (Sigal Wilnai), and Mouly (Patrick) Mains. Also survived by her 4 grandchildren, Alexander Hay; CK Hay, Kassandra Hay, and Ethan Mains; and nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Phanry Kheav was born in Kompong Cham, Cambodia on December 29, 1940 where she married Born Hay on May 12, 1962. In Cambodia, she taught Etiquette classes at Royal Palace Sala Rachana in Phomn Penh, Cambodia for several years. Her husband was then appointed by the Cambodian Prince Norodom to serve as a Foreign Diplomat. During her husband’s diplomatic tenure, Phanry traveled and raised her children in Peking China, Senegal Africa, Paris France, and Bangkok Thailand. After the fall of Cambodia in 1975, the refugee family relocated to West Irondequoit, NY. She was employed as a Quality Control Assurance for Harris Corporation in Rochester, NY for 34 years. As a widow, she then moved to Viera, FL for retirement and to be close to her family. Phanry and Born lived life to the fullest as they traveled around the United States and visited many different countries around the world. Phanry loved being a hostess to a variety of parties and welcomed everyone with open arms into her home. She was well respected and admired by her colleagues. Yet her greatest pleasure lay in family, faith and friends. Phanry will be greatly missed for her kindness, caring, wisdom and unforgettable smiling face. May she rest in peace in God's loving place. In lieu of flowers, friends may donate to Wat Dhammikaram Khmer Krom Buddhist Temple or Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation (www.pulmonaryfibrosis.org ) in her memory.
