Obituary of Pieter deJong
Pieter F. deJong, 86, entered into eternal rest Sunday, November 8, 2009. Pieter was a resident of Cape Shores Condominium since 1989. He was born in the Netherlands, Holland, March 12, 1923 and came to the United States in 1956.Pieter worked as a surgical nurse at St. James Hospital in Chicago Heights, Illinois and retired after 30 years.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Catharina; a brother and two sisters; many nieces and nephews from the Netherlands; and a Godchild, Melanie Gerlich from Germany.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am Monday, November 16, 2009 at Church of Our Saviour Catholic Church in Cocoa Beach.
