Obituary of Donald Null

Biography Donald Glen Null, born to William Glen and Fay C. Null on September 29, 1952 in Harrisburg PA, passed on August 30, 2009 to his maker after a courageous fight with an incurable and inoperable brain cancer. Don is survived by his wife of 35 years, Roswitha, son CPT. Aleksandar Glen Null of Ft Bragg North Carolina, and sister, Billie Jean Wilson of Melbourne, FL. Don, an alumnus of Florida Institute of Technology, spent 15 years working and living in Europe. Memorable years included time in the Military and civilian law enforcement, a number of years in private industry in Germany, and more the 10 years with Radio Free Europe, established during the Cold War years to transmit uncensored news and information to audiences behind the Iron Curtain . Don stayed in Germany until 1996 returning to Florida making Melbourne their permanent home. Don hopes to be remembered for whom he was, a loving husband, father, friend, and colleague, and by those whose lives that he touches on a daily basis at work and at play. Don believed that work is what we do but that it is not the essence of who we are. The only endeavors worth pursuing in life are family, faith, and living the day. He loved the joy of ballroom dancing with his wife; and every minute he was blessed with since starting his relationship with cancer. He thank Jesus for the basis of his hope and giving some quality of life to spend his remaining time together with his wife, son, family and friends, and to enjoy his remaining time in this life. Don believes that he will live on , if for but only a short time, in the heart and memories of those that he has touched in his life. After that, the rest is just ashes and memories, and the experiences of the cycle of his life. A Funeral Service will be held 4:00P.M. Friday, September 4, 2009 at Beckman-Williamson Funeral Home, Viera, Fl. The family will receive 1 hour prior to the service. You may sign Don’s book at www.beckman-williamson.com
