Obituary of Thimios Valkos

Thimios “Timmy” Valkos, Staff SGT, USAF (Ret.), 47, passed away suddenly on Friday, August 14, 2009. He was a past acolyte for the Greek Orthodox Church. Blessed by two mothers, he is the son of the late Carmelia Kiousses and Marguerite Dimitra Kiousses Bunting and the late Donald Bunting. He is survived by his brothers, George, Jimmy and Dino; sisters, Donna, Mary Linda and Marika; many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews and cousins that loved and adored him. A visitation will be 5 till’ 7pm on Monday, August 17, 2009 at Beckman-Williamson Funeral Home in Cocoa Beach. Funeral services will be held at St. Katherine’s Greek Orthodox Church, 5965 N.Wickham Rd., Melbourne 32940 on Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at 10AM. Interment will follow with full military honors at Florida National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Katherine Greek Orthodox Church Building Fund, in memory of Thimios.
