Obituary of LeRoy Dellinger

Lee Roy K. Dellinger born July 29, 1932 in Broadway, Virginia and preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and Jobe Dellinger and brother, Dale died July 26, 2009 in Rockledge, Florida. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Donna; his uncle Duke Fink, daughter Linda Hall and step children Tammy, Amy and Bill; 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Lee was a dynamic self-made man, who owned Solo Oil Inc., and Harbor Petroleum. He started both business from scratch and built them up into state-wide organizations. Lee was a loyal and true friend whose generosity was too many including helping the Seminole Indian Tribe to establish reservation businesses. He was forward looking and was willing to finance ventures for those in need. Lee was not one to talk about or brag about his generosity. Often his loving wife, Donna would find out about them until years later. Lee was able to see the big picture in every situation. While he was an old fashion country boy with ‘down home values’, he was also very cosmopolitan. Lee’s kindnesses extended to helping a friend with Alzheimer’s reconnect his model trains over and over and over. Arrangements are being made by Beckman-Williamson Funeral home in Viera. A service will be held on Friday, July 31, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. with the Reverend Samuel Jackson officiating. Lee will be buried in the family plot in Broadway, Virginia.
