Obituary of Rafe Maccarone

Merritt Island Rafe Maccarone, 15, passed away Saturday, December 1, 2007 at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children in Orlando. Rafe was a sophomore at Cocoa Beach Jr./Sr. High School where he was a member of the Minutemen varsity soccer team. Rafe was selected as honorable mention for the Cape Coast Soccer Conference after his freshman year. He was a member of the Brevard F. C. U-16 Boys State Cup team and was a member of Church of our Saviour. His love of competitive soccer was very special to him. He will be missed by all his teammates, coaches and friends. BEACH PRIDE !!! He is survived by his parents, Ralph and Valerie Maccarone of Merritt Island FL; sisters, Jaime Maccarone of Rockledge, FLand Toni Maccarone of Cape Canaveral, FL; grandparents, Jane and Ralph Maccarone of Viera, FL and Anthony Tomanio of Sebring, FL; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Calling hours will be from 6 until 8pm Friday, December 7, 2007 at Beckman-Williamson Funeral Home in Cocoa Beach. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am Saturday, December 8, 2007 at Church of Our Saviour Catholic Church in Cocoa Beach. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Rafe Maccarone/CBHS Soccer Scholarship, 1500 Minutemen Causeway, Cocoa Beach, FL 32931.
