Tracy Dix

Obituary of Tracy Dix

On May 4, 2024 Tracy Dix was united with her savior Jesus Christ. She was born in Rochester, NY on April 25,1955 and moved to the Riverland area of Fort Lauderdale, FL a few years later with her parents (Leo and Bernice Graham) and four siblings (John Graham, Dennis Graham, Mary Pat Graham, Sheila Graham).

Tracy attended Our Lady Queen of Martyrs and St. Thomas Aquinas school. In 1970, she married Michael Thompson (deceased 2004) of Fort Lauderdale and had three children: Heather Thompson Moraitis, Graham Thompson, Michael Thompson, Jr. She later moved to Cocoa Beach, FL and married Barry Dix. Tracy loved the ocean, lobstering, fishing, and boating. Her favorite places were the Florida Keys and Blowing Rock, NC. Spending time with family was her top priority and nothing compared to time with grandkids. She was a top producing real estate agent for Remax Realty in Cocoa Beach.

Tracy always saw the good in people and was a godly example of humility. She prayed for everyone and never held a grudge. Her smile lit up the room. Tracy and Barry attend The Pointe Church.  We are forever grateful for the legacy of faith she leaves behind and her favorite verse was, “Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”’ (Psalm 91:1-3).

Tracy Dix is survived by her husband Barry Dix; children: Heather Thompson Moraitis and George Moraitis, Graham Thompson and Kimberly Czernowski, Michael Thompson; grandchildren: Alexis Moraitis, Catherine Moraitis, Graham Thompson, Jr.,Finn Thompson, Kaylee Czernowski; sister: Sheila Spreyne.

A memorial service and reception will be held at The Pointe Church at 82 N. Atlantic Avenue, Cocoa Beach on Saturday, May 18 at 4pm. Please wear bright colors in memory of her love for Lily Pulitzer.
