Obituary of Jean Ann Conaughty

Jean Ann Conaughty passed away peacefully in her home at The Brennity of Melbourne at the age of 82. Jean will be lovingly remembered for her “no nonsense” sense of humor and her direct and unapologetic approach to life. Jean worked as an accountant and retired from the Florida Central Credit Union in Tampa, Florida in 2011.

Jean was pre-deceased by her husband Richard Eugene Conaughty and her parents James Francis O’Connor & Mildred Luella Northrup O’Connor of Port Byron NY, and her brother James O’Connor as well as 3 sisters; Joan Marie Boardway, Luella M. Learo and Sharon M. O’Connell.

Jean is survived by her younger brother Peter O’Connor of Port Bryon NY, her 3 children, Keith Scott Conaughty of Rockledge, FL, Patrick Eugene Conaughty of Romance, AR and Kelly Ann Conaughty-Carbello of Rockledge, FL. Additionally, Jean is survived by her 11 grand-children, 14 great-grand children and one great-great grandchild.

A Viewing/wake will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at:

Beckman-Williamson Funeral Home, 5400 Village Drive, Viera, FL.

A Catholic Mass will be held in Jean’s honor at 2:00 PM on Wednesday May 15, 2024 at:

St. John the Evangelist Catholic Community

5655 Stadium Parkway Viera, FL.

Jean will be laid to rest the following day next to her loving husband of 34 years at:

Sunset Memory Gardens

11005 US Hwy 301 North, Thonotosassa, Florida.
