Obituary of Frank Kman

On the early afternoon of Independence Day, Frank Kman was called home. Frank Kman was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. This was a sudden, unexpected, and tragic loss to his loved ones, friends, and anyone who has ever met him. In his 77 years of life, he touched so many people. Frank is survived by his loving family. Frank and his wife Linda were married on January 15th, 1982. Since they wed, they have spent 40-plus years building a wonderful life together. Frank and Linda raised their children, Wendi Lipford, Alvin (Chip) Gipson, and April Reaves, together on the sunny beaches of Cocoa Beach, Florida. Frank has a son, Doug Kman, who resides in Lake Mary, Florida, along with two of Frank’s many grandchildren. Frank has also received tremendous amounts of prayers and support from his out-of-state family including but not limited to his sisters, Celia Finn, and Kim Sellers, as well as his brother Stephen J. Kman. Frank has now been reunited in heaven with his parents, Stephen, and Lulu Kman, his twin brother, Francis Kman, and sister Phyllis Cole. Through the years Frank became a grandfather to 12 grandchildren and a great grandfather to 11 great grandchildren. Frank has an enormous family who has loved and cherished him over the years. He was his family’s real-life Hercules. To know him was to love him, he had the most captivating smile and the most comical humor. He was and always will be the biggest part of our hearts. He never complained about any of the hardships he was going through and continued to be the strongest anchor of his family. He was a caring and loving man, and we were blessed to have him be the rock of our family. He was a huge part of his community as well and gave back to it frequently. He was an electrical contractor and owned his own electrical company. He offered many services over the years to his friends, family, and community. He loved to teach others the trade and was a great mentor. He worked countless years at Kennedy Space Center, from working as an electrician to even being hands-on with the launching of rockets. Frank also fought for our country in the Air Force, where he traveled the world as a jet aircraft mechanic, flight crew chief, and staff sergeant. Frank was an overall incredible human being. An overall honorable man, Frank separated the men from the boys. We will miss him dearly, but we are so blessed to have had such a strong and loving person as Frank Kman in our lives.
