Obituary of Robert Lee Burgess

Col. Robert “Bob” Burgess, 93, of Melbourne, FL entered eternal rest on Friday, May 13, 2022. He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Margaret Ann. His legacy will live on through his children Connie, Clare, Max (Jan), Robin (Rich), and Scott, as well as his six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. As a Colonel in the US Army, he served proudly in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Following his retirement from the Army, Col. Burgess went on to become Headmaster at Castle Heights Military Academy in Lebanon, TN, where he touched countless young lives. His love for God, country, and family are unmatched. A Requiem Mass will be held on Saturday, May 28 at 10 am at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, 7200 N. Wickham Rd., Melbourne. Interment will take place at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery at a later date.
