I had the privilege to know Marlene as my mom's friend who married my Uncle Willy. I went to their wedding but got to know her better once she moved to Melbourne Fl where her daughter and Theresa and husband Keith bought a lovely house where the couple would live and just pay expenses and no rent. They both joined their Social Security and lived happy and well with the ever increasing need for help. I would visit and Theresa brought them to my house and I who was Uncle Willy's backup legally always came away happy to see the care they had in old age. My husband also increasingly needed care and he died Dec 19, 2020. In the meantime Marlene and Willy both needed more and more care and Marlene's son Ken and daughter in law Pat moved in a hurry from Wisconsin and Ken jumped in help. He was amazing with cooking, music, and jokes and lifted all of us many times. He gave personal care to my Uncle till it became impossible to care for both together since my Uncle was used to caring for Marlene for all that time and could not accept he was failing too He was cared for by his grand daughter Monika in Clemmons NC. He died August 30 and she followed with no surprise to me. Their love each other inspired me many times. I loved all involved in getting them both home to God and wish to express my sincere thanks to all his family for the love and care that they gave to my Uncle Willy sho loved me from when I was born and I loved both him and Marlene and that love is mine for ever.
