Obituary of Marcella Katherine Rice

Marcy/Mom/Grandma, 87, formerly of Viera, FL passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 17, 2022, surrounded by family in a room full of love. She is survived by her loving husband of almost 66 years, Ron Rice, and their 5 children, Randy Rice (Cindy), Charlotte, NC; Pam Gabriel (Tom), Omaha, NE; Terry Frattaruolo (Mike), Viera, FL; Ricky Rice (Martha), Boca Raton, FL; Stacy Hettinger (Doug), Kansas City, MO and 2 sisters, Rita Winowiecki and Merita Zywicki. Marcy was grandma to 16 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren (with 2 on the way!). She was preceded in death by brothers, Frank Nemeskal and Al Nemeskal and sister, Loretta Galla all of Maple City, MI. She was born in Maple City, MI, on March 13, 1934, where she lived until she was 23. Ron and Marcy were married on August 4, 1956. Over the 66 years of their marriage, she lovingly made a home for her family in many locations, due to Ron’s career. After retirement she and Ron spent their summers back in Maple City, MI. She loved to garden, golf and paint. Her favorite times were spent with her family and friends. She loved to polka-dance, could name any flower or bird, grew the most amazing gardens and had a laugh that filled an entire room. On Tuesday, February 22 at 11:00 there will be a visitation with a memorial service at Noon, held at Beckman-Williamson Funeral Home, 5400 Village Drive, Rockledge, FL. Interment of Ashes will be at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery at a later date.
